Recognizing that love and attention can be powerful medicine, we encourage family and friends, including children, to visit their loved ones. We allow 24hr visitation hours, but we do ask that visitors consider other patients when planning their visits, so to avoid disturbances.

That is why we strive to provide our residents with a warm, supportive environment as well as a variety of choices for social and recreational activities.
Community involvement is critical to our residents' identity and quality of life. At Canton Oaks, we have weekly outings and participate in community events like 1st Mondays, Memorial events and others. Additionally, we support the local Chamber of Commerce and the Senior Center here in Canton, Texas. Lastly, we encourage participation from volunteer groups in the local and surrounding communities to help foster an environment of inclusion. The therapy program at Canton Oaks is the key to healthier living through physical, occupational and speech therapies. The goal of each program is to return our short-term residents to their homes and to improve quality of life for our long-term residents.
Our priority is to deliver high quality patient care. We continually strive for excellence in all that we do. We partner with every patient to customize a treatment plan that works for them. If medically recommended, we are able to provide a higher level of rehabilitative care to patients who are recovering from conditions such as stroke, injuries from falls, neurological disorders, orthopedic, cardiac and pulmonary conditions, as well as s/p amputations.

Rehabilitation therapy pairs up with a team of independent doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals and each patient's plan of care is custom-designed for his/her diverse individual needs.
Canton Oaks has invested in the latest innovative and advanced technology available to assist us in providing rehabilitative services. Some of the advanced tools we have access to include:
Long-term care assists those who may benefit from 24-hour nursing availability and assistance with meals, medication management, and other activities of daily living.
The
environment at Canton Oaks is designed so residents may live comfortably as part of a community.
We provide a wide range of activities. Some of our main activities are bingo, dominoes, crafts, board games (hangman, trivia, Life, Monopoly, Bongo, etc.), Wii games, weekly outings, community events, on-site live entertainment, balloon volleyball, reflection time, reminiscing, cooking classes, resident birthday parties, movies with popcorn and much more. We also provide a variety of religious programs.
