Ms. Upshaw!

Ms. Upshaw was admitted to Canton Oaks following a hospitalization to address respiratory distress. Upon arrival, she required assistance from our staff for dressing, transfers, and walking, as her mobility and activity levels were extremely limited.

Through her hard work and collaboration with our skilled rehabilitation team, Ms. Upshaw has made remarkable strides towards regaining her independence. She is now working over 150 feet with a rolling walker, completing transfers and bed mobility tasks independently, and managing all her dressing tasks without assistance. We are thrilled to share that Ms. Upshaw has successfully returned to her assisted living apartment, where she can continue enjoying her independence.
